Deli Scene from "When Harry Met Sally" (1989), directed by Rob Reiner
Probably the most workshopped scene in movies since "I coulda been a contender." The effervescent script of "When Harry Met Sally" was written by the late Nora Ephron, but this scene was a group effort, as the video linked below documents. Meg Ryan is truly the queen of rom-com, when you take into account "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail" (both written and directed by Ephron). The restaurant patron who delivers the immortal final line is none other than Rob Reiner's mother, Estelle. A great moment in film comedy, and maybe in feminism.
