Mia's Overdose, from "Pulp Fiction" (1994), directed by Quentin Tarantino
Some will choose the dance scene with Mia (Uma Thurman) and Vincent (John Travolta), some the "Say 'what' again!" scene with Samuel L. Jackson. But I'm going with this sequence from Mia's overdose through to her miraculous resurrection. The acting is perfect, especially Travolta and Eric Stoltz (Lance), and there are so many delightful and bizarre touches -- Lance's gesture of existential despair as the car careens onto his property; the way Mia flops on the lawn after she's pulled from the vehicle; Lance and Vincent screaming at each other as Lance heads to the bedroom to get his instruction manual, and then he returns without the manual; the non-verbal woman zonked out on the couch; the feral look in Patricia Arquette's eyes as the denouement approaches. Beautifully staged and performed.
